West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Herbert P. Moore, 82, of West Monroe, LA will be held 3:00 
PM, Sunday, August 17, 2008 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe, LA. Rev. Leonard Sapp, and Rev. Butch Pilcher will officiate. Interment 
will follow at Hasley Cemetery West Monroe, LA under the direction of 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Moore was born February 20, 1926 in West Monroe, LA and passed away August 
14, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Moore served in the United States Navy during 
World War II in the South Pacific. He was a member of First Assembly of God 
Church in West Monroe and was a longtime owner and operator of Moore's 
neighborhood grocery.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Moore and brothers, G.C. Moore and 
Judson Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Mary Grace Henry Moore; daughter, Catherine 
Jane Blaney and husband Freeman; son, Scott Herbert Moore and wife Peggy; 
grandsons, Chris Sullivan and Brent Moore; granddaughters, Allison Freeman and 
Heather Bates;6 great-grandchildren sister, Jane Berry; several nieces and 
nephews.

Pallbearers will be, Tim Moore, Richard Moore, Judd Moore, Bill Collins, Jim 
Cobb, and Brent Moore.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 16, 2008 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
