As the daughter of Walter William Hopson and Josephine Lucille O'Neal, she was born in Flora, MS on February 4, 1926. Billie Sue was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Eason Henson and her late husband, Lamar Moore and sisters, Myrtle Sullivan, Elise Riley, Esther Talley and brothers, Briggs, Dudley, and G.B. Hopson and her beloved daughter Sara Henson Moore Greene. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Josephine (Jo) Henson Furr, wife of Jim Furr; granddaughter Erin Furr Stimming, MD and her husband Chris; son-in-law Randy Greene; grandsons O'Neal Furr and his wife Grace, Jarrod Greene and wife Jesse, Austin Greene, Jordan Greene and wife Sarah, and Adam Greene and wife Angel. Billie Sue was also blessed with five beautiful great-grandchildren; Hopson, Eason and Wells Stimming, Josephine Furr and Billie Sue's recently born great-grandson, Jaxon Greene; and many loving nieces and nephews and their families. For many years Billie Sue was an active member of the community of Monroe, Louisiana serving as a 50-year member of the DAR, a hospital Candy Striper, and as a member of Garden Club and West Monroe Baptist Church. Billie Sue was a true Southern Belle and used her smile, humor and cooking skills to endear everyone who knew her. She loved making lemon ice box and chocolate pies, sweet pickles, fried chicken, tidbits, sweet tea and numerous other classic southern dishes to share with her family and friends. She made many happy and none sad and the world is a better place for her presence. Services will be held at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel on Monday, March 10, 2014, with visitation beginning at 10:15 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM.
