Joanne Pounds officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Ms. Morison passed away Sunday morning, February 28, 2016 at St. Francis Medical Center of complications from pneumonia. She was born on April 11, 1961, in Selma, Alabama to Joseph S. Morison and Margaret Morison. As a member of an Air Force family, she traveled extensively, settling with her family in Monroe, La in 1981. She graduated high school in Papillion, Nebraska where she participated in a choral group which competed state wide for top honors. She was also the star of the "powder puff" girls football team there. She attended ULM (NLU) graduating in 1985 with an associate of science degree. She was a longtime employee of the University of Louisiana at Monroe, serving from 1987 until the time of her passing. Her years of service to ULM included time in the Registrar's office, the Dean's office of the College of Arts and Sciences, and most recently, the Student Success Center. Always faithful to ULM, she was a loyal Warhawk fan and a season ticket holder. She was loyal also to her beloved Crimson Tide in the midst of Tiger fans nipping at her heels. Football and scary movies were her passion. Sue is survived by her mother, Margaret; sister, Sherri; beloved pup, DeeDee; aunt, Anne Carver; aunt and uncle, Jeanne and Dick Little; cousins, Lessa McMillin (David), Lia Guthrie (Dave), Jim Carver (Pat), Joe Carver, Connie Wood and David Wood, Lynn Barr, Vici Love, George Barr (Lib), Betsy McGrew (Shawn). She was loved by many. She was a person of great personal integrity, a loving daughter, sister, friend, and generous to all. She will be missed by her Friday afternoon coffee group. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Morison; grandparents, Smith and Marie Morison, David and Cornelia Wood. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at St. Francis Medical Center, especially CCU and MICU. They could not have been kinder or more loving in our time of need. Sue is with her God, her Dad, her beloved granddad and many friends and relatives who loved her dearly. Pallbearers will be David McMillin, Brady McMillin, Cody McMillin, William Tosten, Malcolm Tosten, and Scott Keels. In lieu of flowers, we would so appreciate donations to your favorite charity in Sue's memory. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield. I trust him with all my heart.
