The Reverend James Benbrook will be officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary. Interment will be held at the Rhymes Memorial Cemetery on the Rhymes Plantation in Richland Parish. Amanda was born June 19, 1946 to Dr. and Mrs. Ben Cobb and died at her residence on January 19, 2012. Amanda was a graduate of Neville High School and ULM, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Art History and a Master's degree in English. As the owner of Amanda Morgan Interiors, she infused countless homes with beauty and countless lives with style. Her love of her family, her horses, and the great outdoors was inspirational to all of those who knew her. Amanda is preceded in death by her husband Neil Woodard Mott Jr. and her father, Dr. Ben B Cobb. She is survived by her children: Cobb Morgan, wife Shawn and daughter, Auburn; Marlowe Barham, husband, Preston, and children Tyler and Carlee; Amiee Shlottman, husband, Jeremy, and son Travis. Also surviving her is her mother Robertine Rhymes Cobb and her sisters: Roberta Joseph and husband, Colley; Janie Barham and husband, Andy; Bibb Ingram and husband, Carlos; Caroline Boggs and husband, Drexell; and many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step sons Woodard Mott, wife, Sondra, and children, Anna Margaret, and Neil; George Mott, Selby Mott, and son Emmett. Pallbearers will be Will and Micah Barham, Hunter, Walker and Thomas Boggs, Stewart Ingram, and David and Joshua Joseph. Honorary pallbearers will be Hardeman Cordell, Joe Files, Tommy Grant, Steve Haedicke, Connie Mott, and Robert Oliver. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Dr. Ben Cobb, MD Memorial Nursing Scholarship, ULM Foundation, 700 University Avenue, Monroe, LA 71290.
