Baton Rouge, LA George Wesley Mouk, Jr., 57, of New Orleans, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 26, 2008. He was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on September 28, 1951. George was a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University where he was a member of Theta Xi Fraternity. George was employed by Dan Burghardt Insurance Agency in New Orleans. He served on the vestries of Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge and Grace Episcopal Church in New Orleans. He will be missed by his two daughters Mae Elizabeth Mouk of Washington D.C. and Mary Alice Mouk of Baton Rouge; son Charles Meriwether Ordemann Mouk, of New Orleans; father George W. Mouk, Sr. and the late Carol Cosselman Mouk of Monroe; and siblings Susan Mouk Haines and husband Ron of Fort Smith, AR; Jim Mouk and wife Sharon of West Monroe; and Lee Mouk of Baton Rouge. He leaves behind a loving companion and close friend, Gretchen Morgan. He also maintained a respectful relationship with former wives Martha Ann Wood of Baton Rouge and Betsy Ordemann of New Orleans. The family will receive visitors at Trinity Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 30, with services to follow at 11:00. An additional celebration of George's life will be held on Wednesday, December 31, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Monroe. The family will receive visitors at the church from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM with Eucharist and interment services beginning at 11:00 AM. Honorary pallbearers will be life-long friends Craig Meek, Ashley Inabnett, Max Maxwell, and Scott Holloway. Memorial contributions may be made to Black Bayou Lake Refuge in Monroe, Louisiana.
