MAJORIE LEWIS MOYERS

Majorie Lewis Moyers, 90, of Monroe formerly of the Delhi area, died on 
Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at The Oaks Nursing Home in Monroe, LA. She was born 
on December 30, 1925 in Seminary, MS to the union of John Warner Lewis and 
Retha Crosby.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Stewart & husband Bob of Monroe, LA; two 
grandsons, Dr. Michael Stewart of California, and Dr. Paul Stewart & wife Dr. 
Caroline Stewart of Fort Worth, TX; also, one sister, Eva Laird of Texas.

Mrs. Moyers is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clyde Moyers; and 
numerous brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Moyers was married to Clyde Moyers for over forty-nine years. She worked 
as a Bookkeeper for Madison Parish Hospital for several years, and was also a 
Sunday School Teacher for many years at Lea-Joyner Methodist Church in Monroe, 
LA.

She loved to work in the yard and flower beds alongside her husband. Her 
greatest memories were traveling with her sisters to California, and to Las 
Vegas and being on the Price is Right Show. She also graduated from 
Natchitoches with an Associate Degree in Business.

Visitation will be at Cox Funeral Home, Delhi on Thursday, January 28, 2016 
from 5pm to 7pm. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 
at 10am at Crowville Masonic Cemetery in Crowville, LA with Rev. Scott Fletcher 
officiating. Burial will be at Crowville Masonic Cemetery under the Direction 
of Cox Funeral Home, Delhi.
