EMILY MCENERY MURPHY

Mrs. Emily McEnery Murphy, 88, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2014, after 
a brief illness. Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 
7, at Forest Park Cemetery, St. Vincent Ave., with Deacon Homer Tucker, of St. 
Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, officiating. A memorial Mass will begin 
at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rayville, 
LA, with Rev. Phillip Pazhayakari, officiating.

Mrs. Murphy was born on January 18, 1926 in Oak Ridge, Louisiana and a 
resident of Oak Ridge and Shreveport, Louisiana. She was a member of Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church in Rayville, Louisiana.

Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Ramon E. Murphy; parents, 
Florence and Tennille McEnery; brothers, Tennille, Mason and Thomas; sisters, 
Felicie and Florence. She is survived by her daughter, Emily Schaumburg and 
husband, Doug; sons, Robert Murphy and wife, Linda and Thomas Murphy and wife, 
Elise; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and brother, Ed McEnery.

The family requests that memorials be made to the St. Vincent De Paul at 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 716 Frances St., Rayville, LA 71269.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Alan Borne.
