Murray and J. Gordon Moore, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2014 at Heartland Health Care Center. A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Rayville First Baptist Church (Chapel), Rayville, Louisiana. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, P.O. Box 4196, Monroe, Louisiana 71211 Mrs. Murray was born October 5, 1921 in Forest, Louisiana, daughter of the late Porter Shelby Lee and Flora Elizabeth Vining Lee. She believed that education and learning were very important in life. She also enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was a retired elementary school teacher and social worker. She was a lifetime member of Rayville First Baptist Church. She is survived by: one daughter: Lynthia "Linky" Murray Piccione (Ron) of Summerville, SC, son-in-law: Jerry Futch of Monroe, LA, eight grandchildren: Lisa Ware Beard (Greg), Lora Ware Head (David), Amy Ware Pyles (Sammy), Keith Futch (Pam), Kellie Futch Williams (Ed), Karla Futch, Jill Piccione Spencer (Justin) and Julie Piccione Keithley (Chris), seventeen great grandchildren, one brother: Mims Lee of Houston, TX. She was predeceased by two daughters: Linda Murray Ware (Buddy) and Lana Murray Futch and a host of brothers and sisters.
