JAMES P. MORGAN

BASTROP - Funeral services were held today at 2 P.M in the chapel of Farrar Funerl
Home here for James P. Morgan, 84, of Bastrop. The Rev David Oliver officiated.
 Burial was in Midway Cemetery at Epps. Mr. Morgan died at 1:15pm Sunday in Richland
Parish Hospital at Rayville after a lengthy illness.
 A retired farmer, Mr. Morgan was a member of the Baptist church and had resided in
Bastrop for 50 years.
  Survivors include two sons, Johnny Morgan of Houston, Tex and James Morgan Jr., of
Shreveport. Five daughters, Mrs. Jewel Cook of Rayville, Mrs. Albert Chunn of Oak
Ridge, Mrs. Lillie Fae Forrest, Mrs. Mabel Carmack and Mrs. Erma Lane Oglesby, all
of Bastrop; one brother, Lonnie Morgan of Baton Rouge; 2 grandchildren, 58
great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren
  Pallbearers were Sonny Forrest, James Albert Chunn, Victor Ray Chunn, Jimmy Ray
Oglesby, Tommy Ray Butler and Billy J
