ELEANOR KELLER NELSON

Funeral Mass of Eleanor Keller Nelson of Monroe will be held at 1:30 PM, 
Sunday, April 12, 2015 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Tallulah, LA with 
Father Ron Mathews and her son, Deacon Richard Nelson officiating. Interment 
will be at 3:00 PM, Sunday at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Vicksburg, MS under the 
direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mrs. Nelson was born on September 15, 1926 in Bunkie, LA and passed away on 
April 9, 2015 in Monroe, LA. She was a retired business owner in Lake 
Providence, where she lived most of her adult life. She was a graduate of LSU, 
an avid bridge player and quilter. She was a member of the Lake Providence 
Garden Club and St. Patrick's Catholic Church Altar Society. She was a member 
of the Tuesday Bees Quilters group and PEO, AEO Chapter. She loved spending 
time with her 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in 
death by her husband, Hyland in August 2014 and her brother, Lawrence Keller.

Mrs. Nelson is survived by her sons, Richard Nelson and wife Sherry, David 
Nelson and wife Jan, and Leo Nelson and wife Jan; daughters, Madeline Herring 
and husband Charles, and Olivia Hawkins and husband, Skip; grandchildren, 
Brandee Nelson, Melissa Newman and husband, Jason, Hyland Herring and wife, 
Jaime, Amanda McDuff and husband, David, Megan Herring, Cori Traynham and 
husband, Jeff, Anna Dickson and husband, Michael, Katherine Nelson, Caroline 
Nelson, Kate Copes and husband, Bruce, William Hawkins, Abi Nelson, and Emily 
Rogers and husband, Billy; brother, Ardie Keller and wife, Gail; sister-in-law, 
Jeri Keller; and 7 great grandchildren.

The family extends special thanks to Priscilla Oby.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research 
Hospital or a charity of your choice .

Pallbearers will be, Hyland Herring, William Hawkins, Bruce Copes, Michael 
Dickson, Jason Newman, Billy Rogers, David McDuff and Whit Brandin.

Visitation will be at 5:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Saturday, April 11, 2015. A Vigil 
and a Rosary will follow at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe, LA.
