MABEL LEE SANDERS NELSON

Funeral services for Mabel Lee Sanders Nelson will be 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, 
March 7, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe. Rev. 
Geary Phillips will officiate. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial 
Gardens, Calhoun, LA. Visitation will be from 5:00 P. M. until 7:00 P.M., 
Monday, March 6, 2017 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mabel was born March 17, 1920 in Calhoun, LA and passed away after a brief 
illness on March 5, 2017. "God has his arms around me"; She dearly loved the 
Lord and served him. She was a member of First Assembly of God, West Monroe. 
Mabel was compassionate and showed the love of Christ to everyone she came 
in contact with. She treasured her friends from church and Savannah Grand. 
Mabel will always be treasured by her family. Her faith was full of joy and 
life which inspired her family and so many other people. Her legacy will 
always stand strong. Our family grieves for her loss and beautiful spirit-
"You are loved forever" Romans 8:38-39.

Mabel is survived by her children, Kerry Nally and husband Charles and 
Thomas Dowdy and wife, Betty; granddaughters, Tasha Nally, Tammy Wyatt, 
Shawna Fitzgerald and 5 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ken Wyatt, Ethan Wyatt, Bud Wyatt, Gary Fitzgerald, 
Jesse Mosley and Randy McKinney.
