Lewis & Sons, Houston, TX Rebecca Clark Nevill, age 55, born the 2nd of October 1953 in Houston, TX, passed away peacefully on Thursday, the 16th of July 2009. For over a year she fought a graceful and dignified battle against Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. Becky attended the same Houston schools as her mother and sisters: River Oaks Elementary, Lanier Junior High and Lamar High School. She earned an Associates Degree from Columbia College in Columbia, MO. Becky and her family are forever grateful for the loving care she received from Dr. George Carrum, the Bone Marrow Transplant Team, all the staff of Methodist Main 8, and Dr. Kelty Baker. Special thanks to her home caregivers, Ana Flores, Tess Cuenca and Mary Jones. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, the Junior League and the Lady Washington Chapter of the DAR. She spent her working life in real estate, most recently at Martha Turner Properties. Becky was also very generous with her time volunteering in the community. Becky was preceded in death by her father, Ivan B. Nevill, Jr. and her niece, Anne Duval Barham. Surviving is her mother, Claire Henley Lutey; sister, Marianne Nevill Crain and husband, Carter and their children, Karina Adams Cascadden and Davis Henley Crain; sister, Patricia Nevill Barham and husband Mack, and their children Andrew Larkin Barham and Allen Forrester Barham; two great nephews, Jackson Tucker Cascadden and Harrison Keels Cascadden. An interment service will be conducted at one o'clock in the afternoon on Monday, the 20th of July, at Glenwood Cemetery, 2525 Washington Avenue in Houston, followed by a memorial service at two o'clock in the afternoon in the sanctuary of First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street in Houston, where Dr. Wm. Heston will officiate. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Conrad Bering, Cot Cottingham, Glenn Bauguss, Danny Dexter, Stephen Dexter, Bill Murphy, Andrew Barham, Davis Crain and Allen Barham. In lieu of the usual remembrances, memorial donations in Becky's memory may be directed to First Presbyterian Church, 5300 Main Street, Houston, TX 77004; the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5005 Mitchelldale, Suite 115, Houston, TX 77092 or Hope House, 1705 County Road 285, Liberty Hill, TX 78642.
