West Monroe, LA

Funeral Services for Mr. Glen Allen Newcomer, Jr., 89, of West Monroe, LA will 
be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Highland Presbyterian Church 
with Dr. George Wortham officiating. Private Family Graveside Services will be 
held following the service under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West 
Monroe, LA.

Mr. Newcomer was born on March 8, 1920 in Franklin Parish, LA and passed away 
on May 20, 2009 at the St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA. He was an 
active member of Highland Presbyterian Church in West Monroe, LA. Mr. Newcomer 
served his country in the United States Army from January of 1942 until October 
1945. He worked for Interstate Natural Gas, which was a subsidiary of Standard 
Oil. He retired from Monterey Pipeline Company on July 1, 1980 after 40 years, 
eight months and 22 days of service.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Cascille Trussell Newcomer; two sons, 
Brian Newcomer and wife Diane, and Drew Newcomer all of West Monroe, LA; 
grandchildren, Courtney, Abby, Elly and Casey Newcomer; and his sisters, Rubye 
Barton and Peggy Croslow both of Ft. Smith, AR.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
West Monroe.
