NED R. NEWMAN

A memorial service for Ned R. Newman will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 
2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe with Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating.

Mr. Newman was born on March 11, 1928 in Crossett, AR and passed away on March 
11, 2016 in West Monroe, LA. He was retired from South Central Bell with over 
36 years. He loved to travel and his favorite pastime was spent hunting, 
fishing and reading. He was a WW I and WW II history buff. Ned is preceded in 
death by his parents, Ralph and Rose Newman; and a sister-in-law, Marie Newman.

He is survived by his wife, Blondy Newman; children, Felicia Rose Cockrell and 
husband Donnie, Lane D. Newman and wife, Patty, and Neil A. Newman and wife, 
Kay; step children, Sandy Deville and husband, Roland, Vikki Hale and husband, 
Cliff and Phil Hobbs; brothers, Robert Newman and wife, Opal, Willard Newman 
and wife, Mildred, Ted Newman; 18 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 
friend, Don Wills and wife, Shirley; and canine companion, Nub.

Visitation will be from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM, Monday, March 14, 2016 at 
Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Ridge Avenue Baptist Church.
