NICHOLSON Funeral services for Mrs. Sheila S. Nicholson, 56, of Ruston will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at The Cathedral of Praise Worship Center in Ruston with Pastor Bo Nicholson officiating. Interment will follow at Pines Memorial Cemetery in Ruston under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home in Ruston. Mrs. Nicholson passed away October 3, 2015. Sheila was Associate Lead Pastor at Cathedral of Praise Worship Center. She was a true woman of faith for the Kingdom of God. Leading by example, she cast away doubts and fears and placed her complete trust in the Word of God. She stood firmly on the promises of God never wavering as she fought the fight of the faith. Her motto was "Steps of Faith result in Miracles", of which she saw many as she laid hands on the sick and prayed for them in Jesus Mighty Overcoming Name. Only Believe! Only Believe! 1 John 3: 8 "The reason the Son of God came was to destroy the works of the devil." She spent her life with this purpose handed down by her Savior Jesus Christ. Sheila was preceded in death by her parents: Devon and Jo Ellen Slocum and brother: Alan Slocum. She is survived by her husband, Bo Nicholson of Ruston, sons: Logan Nicholson and wife Kristin of Alexandria, and Jordan Nicholson and wife Katie of Ruston; sisters: Vicki Slocum of Ruston and Arris Brunet of Covington, LA; brother: Otis Thames of Panama City, FL; Bo's parents: Ford and Shirley Nicholson of Luling, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Logan Nicholson, Jordan Nicholson, Tyler Koelling, Julien Dominguez, Chris Murray, and Jose Dominguez.
