Rayland Trisler officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Nickelson passed away Friday, November 2, 2012, at her residence. Carol was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. A 1963 graduate of Neville High School and Northeast Louisiana State College in 1968, Carol served as a Pharmacist for many years working at Southside Drugs and Monroe Mental Health Center. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and visiting with all her friends, and working as a part-time associate at Talbot's. She was a member of Delta Beta Sigma high school sorority, Pi Sigma Alpha, Kappa Epsilon, and the American Pharmaceutical Association. Mrs. Nickelson was preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Edna Crotwell; and her brother, Robert Ervin Crotwell. Survivors include her husband, John A. Nickelson, Jr; son, Lance Nickelson and wife Laura; grandson, Thomas Nickelson; granddaughter, Katheryne Nickelson; son, Vance Nickelson and wife Jennifer; granddaughter, Addie Nickelson; grandson, Cade Nickelson; sister, Sharon Crotwell Coleman of Lake Charles, LA; niece, Malora Coleman of Lake Charles, LA; brother, Jim Crotwell and wife Lori; nephew, Reagan Crotwell; niece, Allison Crotwell; mother-in-law, Elma P. Nickelson; aunts, Dixie Roberts Moon of Meridian, MS, Marianna Crotwell Johnson of Three Rivers, CA, Myrtle Roberts of Monroe, LA, Evelyn Roberts of West Monroe, LA; and numerous cousins. Pallbearers will be Thomas Nickelson, Reagan Crotwell, Rodney Moon, Sonny Williams, Phil Morris, and Scott Zentner. Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Sunday, November 4, 2012 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
