Known to several generations of parents and children as simply "Aunt Bea", she spent her entire life caring for others. Aunt Bea, for many years, cared for the children of many of Winnsboro's families and was highly sought after as a babysitter. The only thing that exceeded her love for the children she cared for was her love for her family and for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a lifelong member of Temple Baptist Church, active in Sunday School, Missions, and the Church Nursery. She was also active in Good Samaritans in which she was named 1999 Volunteer of the Year. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Ollie Wright; siblings, Thelma Wright Flowers, Ezma Wright Stroud, & Carley Wright; and, a daughter, Nancy Jo Nielsen. She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Fred F. Nielsen; two daughters, Mary Ann Nielsen Collier & her husband Marion, of Crowville; and Susan Nielsen, of Monroe; one grandson, Clayton Collier, of Crowville; a sister, Charlene "Mutt" Wright Brazell, of Winnsboro; a goddaughter, Lindsay Bankston, of Lafayette; and a host of nieces and nephews. Services will be held in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00pm with visitation scheduled immediately prior from 12:00pm until time of service. Revs. Marion Collier, Bill Robertson, Jr., and Jimmy Harper will be officiating. Interment will be at New Winnsboro Cemetery. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to Temple Baptist Church or Good Samaritans.
