She was born February 19, 1922 in Pine Bluff, Ark, to Thomas C. Brown and Birdie Bryan Brown. At a young age, she moved with her parents to Monroe, where she grew up. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School and attended Northwestern State in Natchitoches. In 1942, she married J.O. "Pete" Nolan and, after World War II, the couple lived in Monroe; Bastrop; Natchez, Miss., and Pine Bluff. Mr. Nolan died in 1994, and after a few years, Natalie moved to Little Rock, Ark. to live with her daughter Virginia and son-in-law Bob Anderson. Survivors are Virginia and Bob Anderson; her son Robert L. Nolan, M.D. of Jonesboro, Ark.; her brother Charles G. Brown of Baton Rouge; her grandson Rob Anderson and his wife Leigh of Little Rock; and a great-granddaughter Emma Anderson. A family graveside service was held in Pine Bluff on Tuesday, April 15.
