Visitation will be held Tuesday from 1:30 PM till time of service at the cemetery. Born on August 12, 1919, in Downsville, Louisiana, and died peacefully on July 20, 2013 in Ruston, Louisiana. She was a member of Downsville Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, training union teacher, and church clerk. She is preceded in death by her husband: LTC Oliver M. Noland, USAF, ret.; her son: Major Oliver M. Noland, Jr, USAF; and her parents: Ava Jane and J L Smith. She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Nelda Noland Neal and husband Dr. C L Neal; granddaughters: Susan and husband Brandon Ewing, Emily and husband Jody Adams, and Rebecca and husband Gerry Williams; great- grandchildren: Allison and Bess Ewing, Nicholas, Sarah, and Bailey Anne Adams and Catherine and Charlie Williams; sister-in-law: Gertrude Graves and a host of relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Jody Adams, Ronald Crawford, Brandon Ewing, Mike Smith, Sandy Tillman, and Gerry Williams. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved sharing her flowers and quilting with others. She was a faithful member of the church she loved, Downsville Baptist Church. She will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank the staff of The Arbor and Terrace of Ruston and Hospice of Caring Hearts for their love and care of Grandma.
