NOLAN Funeral services were at 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of West Monroe for Shuman G. Nolan, 47 of West Monroe. The Rev. Joe Cannon and the Rev. James R. Cain officiated with burial at Antioch Cemetery near Farmerville. Mr. Nolan died, Tuesday night at a local hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Nolan who resided on Arkansas Road in West Monre, was a retired sales superintendent for Cloverleaf Dairy, and for the past four years had been self-employed as a West Monroe merchant. He was a U.S. Army veteran, a member of the Masonic Lodge and the American Legion, a former member of the West Monroe Civitan Club and was the founder and past president of the West Monroe Riding Club. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Marie Pardue Nolan of West Monroe' his mother, Mrs. Sally Armstrong of West Monroe; two sons, Greg and Van Nolan, both of West Monroe; one daughter, Mrs. June Nolan Taylor Hardin of West Monroe; three brothers, Roy Nolan of Magnolia Ark, and Loye Nolan and Billy Nolan both of West Monroe; four sisters, Mrs. Darnell Foster of Marion, Mrs. Lona Woods of Monroe, Mrs. Foye Smith of Farmerville, and Mrs. Joye Nolan of Point; and one granddaughter, Jennifer Kyle Nolan of West Monroe. Pallbearers were Jack Corley, J.D. Pickens, Robert Harris, Clifton Coon, Joe Rogers and (Smitty) Smith.
