JOHN GERALD O'BIER

John Gerald O'Bier, 75, of Magnolia, AR passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at 
the Minden Medical Center in Minden, LA.

John was born February 25, 1941 in Magnolia, AR to Theron Sexton O'Bier and 
Thelma Alice (Walker) Beaty. He was a Lance Corporal in the United States 
Marines, a member of the Smyrna Baptist Church where he was baptized in the 
Baker pond, and loved to hunt and fish.

John is preceded in death by his father; son Kevin Carl O'Bier; and sister 
Carrie Peggie O'Bier.

He was survived by his daughter Dawn Ann Reis and married to Joseph of Antioch, 
CA; grandchildren Athena Rose Reis of Boulder Creek, CA and Joseph Anthony Reis 
IV of Davis, CA; four great grandchildren Katelyn, Aubrey, Joey, and Lucia; 
mother Thelma Beaty of Haughton, LA; brother Don O'Bier and wife Ninatte of 
Swartz, LA; and sisters Pattie Small of Haughton, LA and Derllie Anne Brashier 
and husband Clayton of Downsville, LA.

Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the 
Smyrna Cemetery with Bro. Scotty Gibson officiating under the direction of 
Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia, AR.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial be sent to the Smyrna Cemetery.
