Jim Ingram officiating. Interment will be at Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5 p.m. till 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Alene Russell Ogden, a native of Oak Grove, Louisiana passed away at her residence Wednesday, June 15, 2005. Mrs. Ogden is survived by her husband of 61 years, W. David Ogden; a daughter, Margaret Ogden Morgan and husband John Morgan of Corona del Mar, California; two sons, Rusty Ogden of Sherman, Texas and Jim Ogden and wife Annette Baker Ogden of Bastrop; sister, Marylene Russell Johnson of Monroe; and eight beautiful grandchildren, Meredith and John David Morgan; Nolan, Katie, and Susan Ogden; James, J. Ross, and Anne-Marie Ogden. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons, John David Morgan, Nolan Russell Ogden, James Edward Ogden, Jason Ross Ogden; and nephews, Len Smith and Scott Smith. Honorary pallbearers are C.L. Givens, Freddie Marlatt, Hot Higginbotham, Dick Revels, and Bill Fershoff. The family wishes to extend our special thanks to Dr. E.D. Baker, whose caring heart was an example and inspiration to us all and will always be appreciated and loved. Also a special thanks to the loving caretakers who saw that special person in Mimi, and comforted her and all of us through the process of her illness. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to the Alene Russell Ogden Memorial Fund, c/o First Baptist Church, Bastrop, Louisiana or to your favorite children's charity.
