She was born February 23, 1921 in Newville, PA. She grew up in Plevna, KS, graduated from Wichita, KS Business College, and was a longtime longtime resident of Hutchinson, KS. Vivian retired from a secretarial position at Hutchinson Community Jr. College in 198 in 1980 and moved to Elba, AL. There she enjoyed furniture restoration, camping and fi and fishing. Widowed in 1990, Vivian moved to West Monroe, LA in 1994. Her travels took her acro across the US, Alaska, Hawaii, and more than twenty countries. Vivian delighted in playing tennis. She began playing in high school and co college, then returned to the courts as a senior. She participated in USTA, Re Recreation Association and Senior Olympics until the age of 89, amassing a pl plethora of medals, awards and treasured friendships. She was a lifetime member of of the Garden Club of Alabama, a member of Elba United Methodist Church, and a me member of Mary Martha Life Group of FBC West Monroe, LA. Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick James O'Riley; son-in-laws, Robert laws, Robert Moree and David E. Hoover; grandson, Craig Hoover. Left to cherish her memory are 3 daughters: Vivie O'Riley Jones and husband Donald of West Monroe, LA, Sue Hoover of Canton, GA, Jane Moree of Hutchinson, KS; son, Mike O'Riley and wife Janice of Rogers, AR; grandchildren, Argie Jones Stanley, Raleigh Jones, Devin Jones, David M. Hoover, Shane Hoover, Dena Hoover McKenzie, Tami Moree Rife, Beth O'Riley Weaver and Darin O'Riley; numerous great-grandchildren; extended family and friends. Special thanks to the loving, compassionate staff of Avalon Place, Monroe, LA. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital . Family burial service will be held in Elba, AL at a future date.
