She was born June 24, 1920, in Calion to Ernest Frank Willis and Dora Isabela Heckford Willis, she was a retired nurse's aide from Warner Brown Hospital and Union Medical Center. She worked as a private caregiver after she retired. She enjoyed reading, dancing and socializing with her many friends in all the activities at Champagnolle Landing. An animal lover, she was a strong supporter of UCAPS and was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death were her parents; husbands, O. D. Adams, Sr., Fred Barnett and James Roy Orr; sons, Omer Adams, Jr. and John Handley Adams; grandson, William Gary Adams, Jr.; sisters, Mary Lou Willis Parker and Lillie Copeland; and brothers Bill and Alvin Harris. Survivors include one son, William Gary Adams, Sr. and wife, Angela of El Dorado; five daughters, Clara Sue Adams Ward and husband, Welby Gayle of El Dorado, Paula Adams Skipper Orr and husband, Lloyd of Batesville, Betty Jo Adams Simmons and husband Robert Andy of Batesville, Cheryle Ann Adams Sanderson and husband Donald of The Woodlands, TX and Mary Rachel Adams Miller and husband Russell Jay of Houston; nine grandsons, Gary Alan Ward, Robert Brandon Skipper, Rodney Shane Skipper, James Padgett, Ryan Jay Miller, Jon David Sanderson, Michael Seth Miller, Brian Issac Miller and John Jered Adams; six granddaughters, Marlu Jo Burley- McElhany, Heather V. Adams, Piper Adams Sanderson, Carolyn "Cissie" Padgett, Martie Lynn Adams Chandler and Tonya Dawn Adams Venturella; five great- grandsons, Sawyer Warry McElhany, John Gibson, Jeremy Gibson, Darin Drake Chandler and Handley Chandler; and three great-granddaughters, Danielle Ward, Brooke Venturella and Chauncey Chandler. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Young's. The funeral service is at 2:00 PM Sunday in Young's Chapel with Rev. Mark Staples officiating.
