Tom Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mr. Osborne died Sunday, February 2, 2014, at St. Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe. He served his county during World War II in the U.S. Navy. He loved to read WWII history and entertain family and friends with amusing stories of his Navy WWII days. Mr. Osborne retired from the Chrysler Corporation as a welding inspector. He was also an ordained deacon in the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Osborne was preceded in death by his parents, John and Catherine Osborne; brothers, John Osborne and Emerson Osborne; and his wife, Lenora Osborne. Survivors include his children, Carol Rux and husband Rev. Bruce Rux, Tom Osborne, Lynne Shiltz and husband Paul; three grandchildren, Stephanie Hodgson and husband Steven, Joshua Rux and wife Hanna, Chris Rux; and three great grandchildren, Ian and Vivienne Hodgson, and Charlie Rux. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Wednesday in the Mausoleum.
