DIXIE G. OWEN

Dixie G. Owen, 79 of Wisner, a social worker for the state of Texas, died 
Friday at St. Francis Medical Center. Funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, at St. 
Columbas Episcopal church of Winnsboro with Rev. Fr. William Baldridge 
officiating. Burial will be in Oakley Cemetery near Gilbert, LA under 
direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. She was an avid gardener and 
animal liver. Mrs. Owen was active in the Good Samaritan. She was the organist 
for the St. Columbas Episcopal Church. 

Survivors include her son: Robert James Owen of Dallas, TX; daughter: 
Elizabeth Agnes Yellowkidney of Helena, Montana; one grandchild: Richard 
Gilbert Owen; six 1st cousins: Gilbert Hetherwick of Shreveport, June 
Hetherwick Winegeart of Houston, TX, Julia Gilbert Baker of Prairieville, LA, 
Henry Harangue of Denham springs, LA, and Hunter Harangue of Houston, TX. 
Pallbearers will be James Turner, Wink Allison, Eldon Brown, W. H. Roach, Dan 
Buchan, and Mike Watson.
