Charles Martindale officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Vera was born September 4, 1925 in Wisner, LA and passed away April 13, 2016 at her home in West Monroe, LA. She was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church of West Monroe, member of the Eastern Star and was inducted into the Louisiana Bowling Hall of Fame. Vera was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph William "James" Irby and Blanche Alice King Irby; 2 sisters; and 2 brothers. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, William Thomas Painich, Sr.; son, William "Willie" Painich, Jr. and wife Elaine; daughter, Pamela P. Freeman; sister, Juanita Cooper; grandchildren, Lisa Tarver, Joey Painich and D.J. Freeman; 6 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Larry Rogers, D.J. Freeman, Joey Painich, Mark Tarver and Payton Tarver. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Friday, April 15, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
