Mrs. Parker was a true Christian, whom was faithful to her Lord. She loved her family with her whole heart and was always their biggest cheerleader. She was extremely proud of her daughters and her son-in-law, who in every respect was "her" son for 36 years. The grandchildren brought her the most joy through their gleaming adoration of her presence. "Mimi" loved to spoil her "babies", as they were constantly referred as. God so blessed our Mother with a beautiful trip to the beach last week. My. Sister, Sherry was determined for Momma to go to the beach, her favorite place on earth, one last time. Mom told me every day how Sherry, Danny and the grand's were spoiling her and I of course was referring to her as "Queenie" by the end of the week. There was much laughter and a spurt of energy given to her by God to enjoy "her" week. We were in no way prepared for God to so peacefully take her on to His "Beautiful Heavenly Shores" so soon. God gave us an exceptional 'Matriarch' for our family. She was here for a "moment", but an eternity will be spent with her again. We are all here for a "moment," be sure you are ready, as she, when your "moment" ends. Preceding her in their "moment"; her husband, Bobby Ray Parker; parents, Rev. Lorey A. and Hattie (Stapleton) Lowery; sisters; Laverne Sims and Hazel Futch; brothers, Waymond Lowery and Lorey Jr. Lowery.
