MICHAEL STEPHEN PARKER

Funeral services for Michael Stephen Parker, age 63, will be held on Thursday, 
April 23, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at The Assembly, 715 Cypress Street in West 
Monroe. Officiating will be Rev. Gary Sapp, Rev. John Skipworth, Rev. Max 
McGough and Rev. Mark Foster. Interment will follow at Mount Vernon Baptist 
Church cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. John and Margie Parker; son, 
Stephen Keith Parker; and brother, Billy Donovan Parker.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Self Parker; son, Chad Parker and his 
wife, Casi; and daughter, Laurie Parker Smith and her husband, Darren; 
grandchildren, Nathan Smith, Andrew Smith, Lindsey Smith, Lyndie Ashley, Baylee 
Williams, Macky Parker, Riley Williams, Corey Parker and Lexi Parker; and 
sister, Liz Parker; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Rev. Waine and Jimmie 
Self.

Mike was an ordained minister with The Assemblies of God of Louisiana. He held 
the position as a Senior pastor in Sterlington, Hammond, Raceland and Luna, 
Louisiana. Mike's love of his family and church was steadfast and in the last 
few years of his life, he worked with his son in the media department at The 
Assembly in West Monroe.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM 
at The Assembly in West Monroe.
