PARKER Funeral services for Rev. Miales G. Parker, Sr., 95, will be held at 10:00a.m., Wednesday, March 23, 2016 at Antioch Baptist Church, near Farmerville, with Bro. Vernon Lee, Rev. DeWayne Ramsey and Rev. Aleck Nyegaard officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery under the direction of Farrar Funeral Home in Farmerville. Bro. Parker, retired from IMC/Angus Chemical as a pipefitter after 33 years, went to his heavenly home on March 20, 2016. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. An avid deer hunter for many years and the oldest member of Rogers Creek Hunting Club, he even killed a deer this last season. He also loved gardening, working outdoors and watching sports. Bro. Parker left a true legacy for his family to follow. Bro. Parker was ordained to the preaching ministry on December 2, 1956, and actively served His Lord as Pastor in various churches for over 50 years. He still served as Associate Pastor and Deacon of Enterprise Baptist Church. He had a passion for winning people to the Lord and visiting those in need. Being a veteran of World War II, he served in the U.S. Army as a Private First Class with the Battery "B", 546th Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion, as a Medic, serving from October 1942 through March 1946. He was preceded in death by his parents, Plumer & Bertha Parker; his first wife, Peggy Aulds Parker; his son, Milas Parker, Jr.; and great-grandson, Silas Snell. Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Lorene Dumas Parker; daughters, Joyce Temple & husband, Billy of Farmerville, La., Rhonda Lee & husband, Vernon of Troup, Tx., Beverly Mayo & husband, Paul of Linville, La., Lori Duty & husband, Mike of Farmerville, La., and daughter-in-law, Colleen Parker of Farmerville, La.; step-children, Bonnie & Fred Norrell, Terry & Charlene Dumas, Mickey & Kim Dumas, all of Farmerville, and Sharon & Larry Bonner of Oak Grove, La.; grandsons, Marc Temple & wife Monica, Chris Temple & wife Dana, Shannon Lee & wife Tina, Timothy Parker & wife Chancy, Ben Jones & wife Kylie, Matt Duty & wife Brittany, and Andrew Jones; granddaughters, Natalie Guillory & husband Toby, Andree' Hall & husband Josh, Karla Doss & husband Marshal, Kimberly Shows & husband Michael and Stephanie Snell & husband Heath; 24 great-grandchildren; 3 step-great-grandchildren; 15 step- grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and 2 step-great-great grandchildren; brother, Lindy Parker & wife Virginia of Hot Springs, Ar.; sisters, Alvarine Allred of El Dorado, Ar. and Janet Graham of Farmerville, La.; and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Grandsons serving as pallbearers are Marc Temple, Chris Temple, Shannon Lee, Timothy Parker, Ben Jones, Matt Duty and Andrew Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons of Enterprise Baptist Church - Kevin Dupree, Billy Garris and Kenny Garris.
