MILDRED CODY PARKER

Funeral services for Mildred Cody Parker, age 84, of Columbia, will be held 
at 10:00 AM Monday, September 19, 2016 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home 
in Columbia with Bro. Daryl Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Old 
Bethel Cemetery in Clarks. Visitation will be Sunday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 
PM at the funeral home.

Mildred was born January 29, 1932 to the union of Doyle and Pearl Reitzell 
Cody in Clarks and she passed from this life on September 16, 2016 at 
Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.

She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Clarks. She was a 
people person who loved working. She retired from the Clerk of Court Office 
in Columbia after 18 years. She then worked for Parker Used Cars as on 
office manager for over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband: 
Thomas Lee Parker; her parents; Doyle and Pearl Reitzell Cody; brother: 
Melvin Oscar Cody.

She is survived by her son: Thomas Stephen Parker of Columbia; sisters: 
Bobby Hawthorne of West Monroe and Marjorie Caldwell of West Monroe; a host 
of family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Doug Caldwell, Scott Caldwell, Gary Gaskins, Joe Cody, 
Jr. Cody, and Ronnie Hughes.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lee Craft, Larry Sikes, and employees of Parker 
Used Cars.
