A memorial service and burial will be held in Monroe, LA at a later date. Dorothy passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at Hill Top Home of Comfort. Dorothy Helen was born March 14, 1925 in Milan, Missouri, the daughter of Benjamin George Board and Iva Marie Chapman Board. Dorothy married Joseph Eugene Scarbrough. They were blessed with two daughters, Linda and Suzanne. Dorothy worked as a posting clerk and was a devoted wife and mother. Joe passed away in 1964 and Dorothy married Aubrey Parker in 1970. She and Aubrey crisscrossed the United States in their camper; spending winters in Florida and summers in Canada and North Dakota. Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and was an excellent seamstress. She loved traveling and wasn't afraid to travel alone. Dorothy was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinal fan. She had two church families, Grace Baptist Church in Monroe, LA, Pastor Ricky Baker and Manning Community Church in Manning, ND, Pastor Ray Druckenmiller. Her family would like to thank the Hill Top Home of Comfort and staff for all of their wonderful care of our Mother. A special thank you also to CHI Home Health and Hospice. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Linda Scarbrough Davis and husband Gordon of Monroe, LA and Suzanne Scarbrough Wing and husband Wayne of Killdeer, ND; grandchildren, Layne (Jennifer) Wing, Kristi (Brian) Elwick, Amber (Mike) Schmidt; great-grandchildren, Allison & Bailey Wing, Madison, Cyrus and Victoria Elwick, Shelbie, Marnie, Thomas and William Schmidt; great-great-grandson, Mason Barker. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Joseph Eugene Scarbrough and Aubrey Parker; brothers, Kenneth Orval Board and George Henry Board.
