MARY ELIZABETH PARKER

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Parker, of West Monroe, will be held at 
2:00 PM, Thursday May 25, 2017 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe. Pastor Kevin Stewart will be officiating. Interment will follow at 
Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home 
West Monroe.

Mary was born April 10, 1928 and passed away May 22, 2017 in West Monroe. 
She was a member of McClendon Baptist Church. Mary loved working in her 
yard, sewing and cooking for her family. Mary was preceded in death by her 
husband, Bill and a great-grandson, Tyler Redmond.

She is survived by 3 sisters, Betty Baker, Helen Moore and Dorothy O'Neal; 5 
daughters; Mary Redmond (Billy), Barbara Hausherr, Patsy Barker (Russell), 
Carolyn McHenry, Shelia Bettell; grandchildren, Joey Redmond (Beverly) 
Shannon Redmond (Rosemary) and Jennifer McLeod (Greg); Elizabeth Barker, 
Bradley Bettell, Lance McHenry, Brian McHenry, Shawnee Reynoso and Jason 
Hausherr; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Samantha, and Justin Redmond, Amber 
Boyd, Summer Robert, Michael and Cody Phillips, Hunter McLeod, Sara and Adam 
McHenry; numerous great-great grandchildren.

Our mother was our inspiration and the light of our life. Her passing leaves 
us all with a broken heart but happy memories, as our grandson said last 
night, Heaven will wake up smelling hot biscuits cooking this morning.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM 
at Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.
