JOHN LUTHER PARKERSON

John Luther Parkerson, Sr., age 87, of Crossett, AR passed away on November 12, 
2015 at his residence. He was born on February 29, 1928 in Snyder, AR to his 
parents, Dennis and Geraldine Austin Parkerson. Mr. Parkerson was retired from 
Georgia Pacific Paper Mill where he was responsible for the maintenance of the 
air compressors. He loved to hunt, travel in his RV, and was generally busy 
with a project all the time. Mr. Parkerson was preceded in death by his parents 
and by a sister, Marilyn Hale.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Christine Jordan Parkerson of Crossett, 
AR; one daughter, Susan Hamilton and husband, Scott of Monroe, LA; one son, 
John L. Parkerson, Jr. and fiancée, Ann Chadwick of Big Flat, AR; two sisters, 
Christine Mhoon and Wille Jo Wallace, both of Harlingen, TX; one brother, Jimmy 
G. Parkerson and wife, Janice of Dermott, AR; a special friend, Eddie Brown and 
a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 
Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Boseman officiating. Interment will 
follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of 
Crossett, AR. (www.jonesservice.)

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at Jones 
Funeral Home.
