LAURA WILHITE PARKINSON

Laura Wilhite Parkinson, 86, of Corona Del Mar, CA, went to be with the Lord 
on Sunday, December 25, 2011. Graveside services were held December 30, 2011 
in Corona Del Mar, CA. She lived in Sterlington, LA until 1946 when she went 
to Washington and worked in the Pentagon for the Navy until the end of World 
War II. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Parkinson; her parents, 
Emmett L. and Myrtle S. Wilhite; and two sisters, Helen Wimberly and Mary 
McCormick.

Laura is survived by her two sons, Mike Parkinson of Willits, CA and Greg 
Parkinson of Jersey City, NJ; sister, Louise Wilhite of Burbank, CA; brother, 
John Wilhite and wife Louise of Sterlington, LA; two nephews, John Wilhite, 
Jr. and wife Charlotte of Monroe, LA and Jeff Wilhite of Sterlington, LA; two 
nieces, Rhonda Keen and husband Roger of Monroe and Linda Wilhite of 
Pineville, LA; and numerous great nieces and nephews
