CAROLYN JOY PARNELL


Carolyn Joy Parnell of Farmerville, LA, formerly of El Dorado, AR passed away 
on August 22, 2016. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Minnie Hudson; and one 
sister, Helen McGroarty. 

She is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Carlton D. Parnell; sons, 
Marc D. Parnell (Patti), and Joe C. Parnell (Becky); grandchildren and great 
grandchildren.

A devoted mother, she also loved her church family at First Baptist Church of 
El Dorado, AR, and later First Baptist Church of Farmerville, LA.

Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at Young's 
Funeral Directors in El Dorado, AR.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist 
Church in Farmerville, LA. Burial will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Arlington 
Memorial Park in El Dorado, AR under the direction of Young's Funeral 
Directors.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Farmerville, LA, First 
Baptist Church of El Dorado, AR, or to the charity of donor's choice.
