She was 92. Mrs. Patrick was the widow of her beloved husband of 58 years, A.B. Patrick, who died in 2005. She will be buried beside him in St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery in Monroe, La. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 21, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, with Rev. Joseph Puthuppally officiating, along with Rev. Job Scaria and Rev. Lijo Thomas. Interment will follow, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, in Monroe. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Harriett "Bitsy" Beene and husband Charles; Sally Patrick Ditta and husband Joey; Judy Patrick McCurdy and husband Ralph; Betty Patrick Malson and husband Jim; James Arthur "Jim" Patrick and wife Mary; William Borgia "Bill" Patrick and wife Kathy; and Mary Patrick Baucum and husband Trey; her brother-in-law Graham Schneider; along with 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lewis Johnson and Mary Eloise Johnson, along with her brother James Lewis Johnson, Jr., and her sisters Betty Crews and Mary Ellen Schneider, and great grandson Buddy. Born in Eudora, Ark., Mrs. Patrick attended Ole Miss and taught for many years at St. Patrick Catholic School in Lake Providence, La., where she was raised. She died after a short illness at St. Joseph Assisted Living in Monroe. Pallbearers will be her grandsons: Amiss Baucum, Rimes Baucum, Steve Beene, Todd Beene, Jordan Bruscato, Matt McCurdy, Gabe McCurdy and Jeremy Malson. Honorary pallbearers will be her great-grandsons: Patrick Beene, Ethan Beene, Graham Beene, Miller Elston, Ross Elston, Archer Elston, Marshall McCurdy, Satcher Pugh, Gus Pugh, Banks McCurdy, Jude Malson, Huck Ogburn, Caleb Dailey, Crosby Surratt, Abram Surratt and Campbell Surratt. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
