PATTON, DOROTHY FRANCES SYGALAS

Baton Rouge, LA

She was a retired secretary for the Ethyl Corporation with 38 years of service, 
a native and resident of Baton Rouge. Dorothy died at 8:35 PM Thursday, 
December 18, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center at the age 
of 87.

Visitation was held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 4:00 
PM to 6:00 PM Sunday and 10:00 AM Monday until the religious service in the 
funeral home chapel at 11:00 AM, conducted by Dr. Burn Page. Interment followed 
at Greenoaks Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years: Roy Patton; sisters: Katie Pierce 
and Elaine Ricks of Baton Rouge, Peggy Denbo & husband Robert of Hot Springs, 
Arkansas, Virginia Baronne & husband Frank of Baton Rouge; brother: Frank J. 
Sygalas & wife Ann of Winnfield; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Frank J. & Katie Laird Sygalas; 
sisters: Mildred Sygalas Dees and Geraldine Sygalas Nettles.

Dorothy was a member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge and The United 
Daughters of the Confederacy.
