BOBBIE "BOO" MCINNISH PAYNE Kilpatrick Funeral Home Monroe, LA A memorial service for Bobbie "Boo" Payne, 63 of Monroe will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, August 4, 2006 at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, with Rev. Dick Humphries and Rev. Susan Ferguson officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 1:00 to 3:00 PM under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Monroe. Mrs. Payne was born August 18, 1942, and passed away, August 1, 2006, at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband of twenty-seven years, James Arthur Payne, Sr. and her father Kenzie McInnish. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Payne Cummings, Monroe; son James Arthur Payne, Jr., Covington, LA; her grandson, Payne Cummings; mother, Reeva McInnish; sister Kay Matthews and husband Tom, Birmingham, AL, and a host of nieces, cousins, and friends. A graduate of Troy State University, she taught at River Oaks and Grace Episcopal Schools. Boo was listed in Who's Who Among American's Teachers & received the Outstanding Award as a "Louisiana Unsung Hero in Education." She was a member of St. Paul's Chancel Choir, taught Sunday School, and worked in the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Payne directed the Caroler and Cherub Choirs and was a member of the Spirit Builder's Sunday School Class. Boo was a soloist with Monroe Chamber Chorale, a member of Masterwork Singers, and Musical Coterie. She was also a member of AK Chapter of PEO. Boo wished to thank all her friends for their gifts, prayers, care, cards, visits, food and flowers, along with the doctors and staff of M.D. Anderson, Dr. Charles Morgan, and Hospice Care of Louisiana, Inc. Her family will ever be grateful for all the love and friendship shown her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Music Ministry of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Grace Episcopal School, or a charity of your choice.
