VERA TUBERVILLE BROWNELL PEOPLES

BROWNWOOD, TEXAS

MULHEARN FUNERAL HOME

WINNSBORO, LA.

Funeral Services for Vera Tuberville Brownell Peoples, age 101, of Brownwood, 
Texas, formerly of Winnsboro Louisiana, will be held Wednesday September 10, 
2008 at 10:00 A.M. at the Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel in Winnsboro, LA, with 
Karl Huff officiating, interment to follow in Providence Memorial Cemetery in 
Winnsboro under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Mrs. 
Peoples died September 7, 2008 at the Brownwood Regional Medical Center after 
a short illness.

She was born in New London, AR, to the late Carroll Christopher Tuberville and 
Willie Maude Austin Tuberville on August 10, 1907. In 1924 she married Herman 
Brownell of Columbia, LA, who preceded her in death in 1933. On October 12, 
1935 she married Frank Roy Peoples of Winnsboro, LA. He preceded her in death 
in July of 1985.

She was a long time member of the Winnsboro Church of Christ where she enjoyed 
furnishing lovely flower arrangements for the Sunday services.

She moved to Brownwood, TX, in 1994.

Survivors include her children; Thelma Dean Brownell Brown of Macon, GA; 
Charles Herman Brownell and wife Maureen of Scotia, CA, Betty Joyce Peoples of 
Mobile AL, Jenelle Peoples Beakley and husband Grover of Brownwood, Frank 
Henderson Peoples and wife Carolyn of Mobile, AL, and Charles Quitman Peoples 
of Winnesboro, LA; Her grandchildren, Barbara McGee and husband Ed of Donal, 
Oregon, Gary Brownell and wife Betsy of Scotia, CA, Sharon Tuberbille and 
husband Mike of Macon, GA, Debbie Brown of Macon, Brent Beakley and wife Karen 
of Odessa, TX, Simon O'Neal and husband David of Burleson, TX, Suzanne Jay and 
husband Richard of Mobile, AL, and Greg Peoples of Denver, CO, She had 10 
great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed.
