The funeral service will be held on June 7, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Fish Bayou Baptist Church with burial to follow at Lone Star Cemetery in Sikes. Rev. Jimmy Goodman, Rev. Marion Collier, and Rev. Kelly Clark will be officiating. Kenneth "Kenny" Pepper, owner of Glass Weld, was born on April 25, 1954 in Delhi to James and Elsie "Marie" Pepper. Mr. Pepper passed away May 31, 2014 at St. Francis Medical Center after post-op complications. Kenny, a graduate of Crowville High School, went to work off shore for Noble Drilling in 1972 until 1980. In 1980, he began working for Fussell Company Contractors where he continued to work for the next 14 years as a track hoe operator. In 1996 he began his adventure in the cable TV business in hanging and splicing coax cable. In 1999 he found his true love and talent as a fiber optic communication splicer. He was able to travel all over the United States as a subcontractor for other companies. His knowledge in this business was so admired by all that he taught and worked for. He helped numerous businesses build new, expand and update in order to have proper communication networks. God provided him with a great talent that many men could never comprehend. During all of these years, Kenny found time when he was home to help his wife, Vicki, with their farm. Kenny was a dedicated member to his Christian faith, ministering to those he worked with all over the United States. He was a member of Fish Bayou Baptist Church in the Swamper's Community. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; twin infant sons Christian and Christopher Pepper; two brothers, Joseph "Joey" Pepper and Phillip Pepper; father-in-law, Thomas "Hunk" Fussell; grandparents, J.T. "Shorty" and Evelyn Robinson, Lee and Julia Pepper; uncle J.T. Robinson, Jr. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, married June 14, 1977, Vicki Fussell Pepper; daughter Bridgette Pepper Bordelon and husband Robbie; daughter Lora Pepper Batchelor and husband Fletch; grandchildren Victoria Elise Bordelon and Tristan Allen Bordelon with a third grandchild, Jaxton Kenneth-Darrow Batchelor expected to arrive in early November; brother James Eugene Pepper; mother-in-law Betty Fussell; aunts, Patsy McDuffie, Jo Ellen Wroten and husband Jack, Emilee Callaway, Minnie Bell Hebert and husband Aaron, Hazel Grayson, Elizabeth Pylant and husband George, Rose Robinson; as well as a host on nieces and nephews and close family friends. Kenny's favorite joy was spending time with his family. He never hesitated to help his children and grandchildren with any "project" they felt needed to be done. His family was his world and now his family's world is not complete without him. "Pawpaw Kenny" will always be near and dear to his family's heart. Serving as pallbearers will be Don King of Joplin, Missouri; Brian Manix of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Brian Belleu of Walker, Louisiana; Mike Hibdon of Versailles, Missouri; Wilton Hunt of Fanklinton, Louisiana; Tom Dennis of Springhill, Louisiana. Honorary pallbearers will be Lannie Sturdivant, John Scott, Thomas Kelly, and Clyde "Bear" Johnson.
