ALICE ELIZABETH PETERSON

Funeral services for Alice Elizabeth Peterson, age 92, of Oak Grove, Louisiana 
will be 2:00PM, Saturday, August 10, 2013, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
in Oak Grove, Louisiana with Father Mark Watson officiating. Interment will be 
in the False River Memorial Park Cemetery in New Roads, Louisiana. Services 
are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00PM - 8:00PM at Cox Funeral Home with a 
vigil service at 7:00PM.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jules Joseph Cazayoux Sr. and Celeste 
Antonia Gosserand Cazayoux; brother, Jules J. Cazayoux Jr.; sister, Clara 
Cazayoux Kolb.

Mrs. Peterson was a native of New Roads, Louisiana. She graduated from 
Louisiana State University. She and her husband moved to Oak Grove, Louisiana 
in November 1945. She taught for many years in the West Carroll School System, 
where she taught high school English. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic 
Church, where she was a member of the Altar Society. She was a member and 
former Regent of the General William Carroll Chapter of the DAR. She was a 
member and officer of the Oak Grove Garden Club. She served as a Cooperative 
Member of the National Weather Service for many years.

Alice is survived by her husband of 68 years, Jessee Peterson of Oak Grove, 
Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Randy Chick of Fayetteville, 
Arkansas; grandson, Jonathan Chick of Fayetteville, Arkansas; granddaughter, 
Zoe Chick of Chiang Mai, Thailand.
