OLA GIBBS PETERSON

Funeral services for Ola Gibbs Peterson, 101, of West Monroe, LA will be held 
at 10:00 AM, Thursday, September 10, 2015 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral 
Home West Monroe. Dr. Mark Fenn will officiate. Private family graveside 
service will be held at Yankee Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Winn Parish, LA 
under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe.

Mrs. Peterson was born to William F. and Emma Walker Gibbs on November 12, 1913 
in Winn Parish which was her home for 89 years, at which time she moved to West 
Monroe. She passed away at the West Monroe Guest House on September 8, 2015.

Mrs. Peterson retired from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture Forest Service, having 
worked as a fire tower lookout at Gum Springs, Kisatchie National Forest, for 
seventeen years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Peterson, Sr., 
her son William Peterson, her parents, her sister Ezona Blake, and her brothers 
Arthur and J.D. Gibbs.

She is survived by her daughter. Lola Peterson, son, Otis Peterson and wife 
Ginger, grandsons, Daniel Peterson and Michael Peterson and wife Kristen, 
great-granddaughter, Marie Peterson, and a large number of nieces and nephews 
and their families.

Memorials may be made to Louisiana Baptist Children's Home or Charity of 
donor's choice.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home West Monroe.
