Katie was born on January 19, 1982 in Monroe, LA. She spent her early childhood years in north LA, eventually growing up in Magnolia, AR and residing there the rest of her life. She graduated from both, Magnolia High School and Southern Arkansas University, which lead to a career as a Deputy Circuit Court Clerk for Columbia County. Katie was preceded in death by her fraternal grandparents Francis Joseph Petitto, Sr. and Frances Marie Petitto of Amite, LA. She is survived by her mother Jane Alexander of Magnolia, AR; father Salvadore Santo Petitto, Sr. of Monroe, LA; brother Salvadore Santo Petitto, Jr. and wife Lacie of Montgomery, TX; maternal grandparents, Dr. John E. Alexander, Sr. and Mary Alexander of Magnolia, AR; and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church with Pastor Pamela Estes and Father Edward D'Almeida officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. of Magnolia, AR. A visitation with the family will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 on Friday evening at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Charlie Cross, Sam Cross, David Alexander, Steven Alexander, Dr. Francis Petitto, III, Dr. Phillip Petitto, Anthony Petitto, Jr. Luke Petitto, Michael Petitto, Jr., Chris Petitto, and Andrew Petitto. Honorary pallbearers will be DC Chandler, Richard Bell, Jeffery Jester, Ryan Phillips, Jeremy Caldwell, Ben Lindsey, Adam Pinner, as well as court officials, staff, and area law enforcement agencies. In lieu of gifts or flower, please send donations to The Katie Petitto Foundation in Columbia County which will shower "Katie's Kiddos" with love and care for years to come.
