Aline enjoyed a very full and enjoyable life as a homemaker, a wife, and a mother. She will be remembered by all who knew her and will be especially remembered as a conversationalist who easily chatted with anyone in her presence. Aline was born on February 14, 1922 as the daughter of Jesse W. Albritton and Annie G. Hicks. She passed away quietly on Saturday morning, October 18, 2008 after a brief illness. In heaven, she will join her beloved spouse, Ed, who preceded her in death 15 months earlier. After nearly 70 years of marriage, they decided to reunite again to continue their l oving relationship. During Aline's 86 years on this earth she lived a very busy life as the family matriarch responsible for overseeing house and home during Ed's absence while serving in two wars. One of her favorite hobbies was gardening where she received many accolades for her beautiful flowers year after year. As a mother, she carefully guided her only daughter through infancy, adolescence, and finally to adulthood providing love, guidance, and nurturing every step of the way. While in the nursing home at Live Oak, Aline developed hidden talents for ceramic designs. Many of her pieces have found their way into family and friend's homes, being cherished for their beauty. Aline was preceded in death by her parents Annie and Jessie Albritton. She had three sisters and one brother: Lois Albritton Williams, Thelma Albritton Neal, and Clyde Lee Albritton, all of whom are deceased. Aline's sister, Kelma Albritton Bridges remains the lone surviving sibling of her immediate family. Aline's surviving family members include her daughter Peggy Phillips Gavin, and her husband Greg; grandson, Chuck Mullins and his wife Kim; their children Rory and Jaden Mullins. Visitation services will be held Tuesday, October 21 between the hours of 11:00 A.M. and 1:00 P.M. at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 202 North Washington St., Farmerville, LA.
