Jack Phelps officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:30 PM Tuesday in Wesson, MS under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Mrs. Phillips was born on March 4, 1917, in College Station, MS, the second child of Hal and Katie Campbell Fox. She passed away quietly in her sleep on November 22, 2008 in her home outside Monroe. Judith spent all of her early life in Mississippi where she was an award winning artist, a past president of the Mississippi Art Association, member of Chi Omega, and the D.A.R. In 1948 she married Bob Phillips in Jackson and they had twin sons, Robert, Jr. and Charles, the following year. In 1968 Judith, Bob, and the boys moved to Bob's family place near Monroe, where she created a beautiful home for the next forty years. She was a wonderful, talented, and kind lady, loved by her family and friends. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Charles; and brother, Hal, Jr. Survivors include her son, Robert and wife Cathy; beloved grandson, Rob; sisters, Joan Folwell of Athens, GA, and Janet McLaurin of Brandon, MS; and many nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be her four nephews, John, Sidney, and Anse McLaurin and Greg Fox, and friends, Jimmy Seay, and Ron Alexander. Honorary pallbearer will be Travis Jackson. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 AM until service time at Graceminster Presbyterian Church. The family is grateful to Judith's helpers, Sandra Brownlee, Aurora Haley, and Samantha Jones for their wonderful care over the past several years.
