Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA . 

Funeral services for Mr. Van D. Phillips, 79, are 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 
2, 2010, in the Chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe. Brother John 
Dallalio and Brother Daniel Goodman will officiate. Interment will follow at 
Union Cemetery, Marion, LA, under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Homes of 
West Monroe. Mr. Phillips of Monroe, LA, was born June 7, 1930 to J. E. and 
Nora Smith Phillips and passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Mr. 
Phillips attended Maranatha Baptist Church in Monroe. Mr. Phillips was 
preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Hugh Pate, James and Marion 
Phillips; brother-in-law, Thomas Coody and nephew, Randy Coody. Survivors are 
sisters; Lennie Coody, Mary White and husband, Lewis; sister-in-law, Eloyce 
Phillips; and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are LaDell, Montez, 
Craig, and Curtis Pate, Mark and Buddy Tarver. Honorary pallbearers are Doyle 
Harris and Fred Coody. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM 
Monday, February 1, 2010, at Kilpatrick Funeral Homes in West Monroe.
