JANIE PIPPINS

Funeral services for Mrs. Janie Pippins, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 
PM, Wednesday, September 19, 2012, at Bible Missionary Church with Rev. Ben 
Dowd, Rev. Jesse Truitt, and Rev. Sammy Pender officiating. Interment will 
follow at Riverview Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, 
Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mrs. Pippins passed away Saturday, September 15, 2012, at St. Francis Medical 
Center. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church, loved people and visiting 
nursing homes.

Mrs. Pippins was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Estelle Dowd; two 
sisters, Doris Dowd and Mildred Neal; and one brother, Ronald Dean Dowd.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry O'Connor and husband John of West 
Monroe; son, Rev. Sammy Pender and wife Mary of Frankfort, IN; brothers, Rev. 
R. B. Dowd and wife Faye of Nashville, TN, John Dowd and wife Joyce of Monroe, 
and Rev. Ben Dowd and wife Sandy of Bella Vista, AR; sister, Mary Lou Smith 
and husband Jarrell of Monroe; five grandchildren, Terri Chelette and Chris of 
West Monroe, Donna K. Antley and husband Glen of West Monroe, Wesley Pender 
and wife Julie of Columbus, IN, Lisa Keaton of Lebannon, IN, and Cathy Pender 
of Frankfort, IN; thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, 
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Cole Chelette, Caleb Hester, Christian Hester, Wesley 
Pender, Glen Antley, and Chris Chelette.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral 
Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Memorials may be made to Bible Missionary Church.
