JOHN WILLIAM PLETKA

Funeral services for Mr. John William Pletka of West Monroe, La will be 10:00am 
Friday, June 26, 2015 at Lea Joyner Memorial United Methodist Church in Monroe, 
La with Rev. Betty Swanson officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn 
Memorial Gardens in Calhoun, La under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home 
West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Thursday, June 25, 
2015 at the church.

Mr. Pletka was born February 24, 1941 in Winamac, Indiana and passed from this 
life on June 21, 2015 in West Monroe at the age of 74. He was a member of Lea 
Joyner Methodist Church and was employed by Plymouth Tube Company for 46 years. 
He enjoyed sports, gardening, watching the Indiana Hoosiers Basketball games 
and he loved the Chicago Bears.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Martha Pletka; brothers, 
Raymond Pletka, Thomas Pletka, James Pletka and Frank Pletka.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie L. Pletka of West Monroe; Daughters, 
Stephanie Frost & husband Palmer of Downsville, La, Scarlett Flowers & husband 
Clay of Vancouver, Canada, Letitia Pletka-Reynoso & husband Jim of Fort Worth, 
TX and Maura Travis & husband Aaron of West Monroe; sons, Stephen Pletka & wife 
Donica of Colorado Springs, CO, Todd Pletka & wife Michelle and Jeremy Pletka 
of West Monroe; sisters, Irene Mitchell of Winamac, IN, Virginia Mills of 
Dayton, OH, and Mary Kaminski of San Pierre, IN; one brother, Dennis Pletka & 
wife Deanna of Winamac, IN; 17 grandchildren, 10 great-granchildren and a host 
of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Ticheli, Timothy Cappo, Jared Pletka, Jonathan 
Cappo, Garrett Cappo, Hunter Frost, Tyler Pletka, Fischer Travis, Zachary 
Hodge-Pletka, Jason Trim, and Jeremy Blackwell.
