Job Edathinatt officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Robert "Bobby" was born in Belton, TX on June 8, 1926 and passed away on May 22, 2009 after a lengthy illness. Bobby was an honored veteran and served in the U. S. Army and Maritime Marines in World War II. He was a member of the SBJST of Texas for 67 years, honorary member of the Louisiana Sportsman Hunting Club of Eros, and retired from Flav-O-Rich Dairy in Monroe after 42 years. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Lenora Pohl; son, Jerry Pohl; sisters, Georgia Menke and Patsy Rowland. Survivors include his wife of sixty-two years, Georgie Mae Pohl; children, Bobbie McCarty and husband Bill, Linda Bryan and husband Charles, Ronnie Pohl and wife Cathy, Kathy Smith and husband Danny, and Laura Sandifer and husband Kevin; grandchildren, Robert Pohl, Brad McCarty, Brock McCarty and wife Kim, Derick Pohl and wife Misty, Chelsy Smith, Casey Barton, Jennifer Caussey, Charlotte Clark, and Griffin Sandifer; great grandchild, Grace Pohl; sisters, Lidice Broussard, and Sallie Flint and husband James; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are his loving grandchildren, Robert Pohl, Brad McCarty, Brock McCarty, Derick Pohl, Chelsy Smith, and Casey Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Clarence Deffner and Charlie Mac Rowland. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
